PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: August 26, 2026
Nyano (“Nyano,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), operated by MujuGo, LLC, provides a family wellness and connection platform that helps individuals share selected everyday wellness information with people they trust.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Nyano collects, how we use it, when it may be disclosed, and the choices available to you.
By using Nyano, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
- Information We Collect
Depending on the Nyano features you choose to use, we may collect information you provide directly, information from connected devices and services with your permission, and technical information generated when you use Nyano.
Account Information
We may collect information such as your:
- name;
- email address;
- mobile phone number;
- account credentials;
- family relationship;
- profile information; and
- communication preferences.
Wellness Information
Nyano may process wellness information that you choose to provide or authorize, including:
- mood and emotional check-ins;
- meals and food information;
- estimated calories and macronutrients;
- medication names and schedules;
- medication check-ins;
- steps and activity;
- exercise information;
- sleep information;
- heart-rate information;
- heart-rate variability;
- active energy; and
- other supported wellness metrics.
The specific information available to Nyano depends on your device, permissions, connected services, and features you choose to use.
- Apple Health and Health Connect
Nyano may allow you to connect supported wellness information through Apple Health/HealthKit or Android Health Connect.
Nyano only requests access to categories of information necessary to provide features you choose to use.
You control these permissions through your device and may modify or revoke them through your device settings.
Apple requires HealthKit apps to obtain explicit permission for individual categories of health data and prohibits HealthKit information from being used for advertising or similar purposes.
Nyano does not use information obtained through Apple Health/HealthKit for advertising, targeted advertising, marketing profiles, or sale to data brokers.
We do not sell information obtained through Apple Health or Health Connect.
- Family Sharing
Nyano is designed to help families stay connected.
A parent or other user may choose to authorize another person, such as a child or trusted family member, to receive selected information through Nyano.
Depending on the permissions provided, an authorized family member may be able to receive summaries or ask questions concerning information such as:
- activity;
- sleep;
- available wearable metrics;
- mood check-ins;
- meals and nutrition; and
- medication tracking.
Nyano does not intend family access to be automatic merely because two people are related.
Access must be established through Nyano’s supported authorization or family-linking process.
Users may modify or revoke supported sharing permissions.
- WhatsApp and SMS
Nyano may allow authorized users to receive account-related and family wellness communications through SMS or WhatsApp.
These communications may include requested wellness summaries, family updates, account notifications, medication tracking information, responses to questions, and other messages related to Nyano services requested by the user.
SMS Consent
You will receive recurring Nyano SMS messages only where you have provided the applicable consent.
Message frequency varies based on your activity and preferences. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP.
For assistance, reply HELP.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing Nyano services.
Twilio requires website-based A2P programs to disclose message frequency, possible message/data charges, and the handling of mobile information.
Important Mobile Privacy Commitment
Nyano does not share, sell, rent, or provide your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile opt-in information and consent are used only to operate the Nyano messaging program and related services requested by you.
We may use service providers that process communications on our behalf where necessary to deliver Nyano services. Such providers are not permitted by us to use Nyano mobile opt-in information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
This distinction is important for Twilio’s current A2P vetting requirements.
- AI and MCP Services
Nyano may use artificial intelligence, APIs, and Model Context Protocol (“MCP”) technology to help authorized users understand information available through Nyano.
For example, an authorized family member might ask:
“How active was Dad today?”
Nyano may retrieve authorized information and use automated systems to generate a response.
Nyano limits AI access according to the user’s permissions and the functionality being requested.
We do not intend to make one family’s information available to another family or allow an AI client to access information without appropriate authorization.
AI-generated summaries may contain mistakes and are intended for general wellness and informational purposes, not diagnosis or medical treatment.
- How We Use Information
We may use information collected through Nyano to:
- provide and operate Nyano;
- authenticate users;
- connect authorized family members;
- synchronize permitted wearable information;
- provide wellness summaries;
- track user-entered meals and medications;
- provide mood check-ins;
- deliver SMS and WhatsApp communications;
- respond to authorized questions;
- operate AI and MCP functionality;
- maintain security;
- detect misuse or unauthorized access;
- troubleshoot and improve the Services;
- provide customer support; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use wearable wellness information to determine eligibility for employment, insurance, credit, housing, or similar decisions.
- How We Disclose Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may disclose information in limited circumstances necessary to operate Nyano.
With People You Authorize
Information may be made available to family members or other people whom you authorize through Nyano.
Service Providers
We may use companies that provide services such as:
- cloud hosting;
- communications;
- authentication;
- security;
- analytics necessary for service operation;
- AI processing; and
- technical infrastructure.
These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to Nyano and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.
Legal and Safety Requirements
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable government requests, or to protect the security, rights, and integrity of Nyano and its users.
Mobile numbers and messaging consent are excluded from sharing with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- What We Do Not Do
Nyano does not:
- sell your wearable wellness information;
- sell your Apple Health/HealthKit information;
- sell SMS opt-in information;
- sell messaging consent;
- use HealthKit information for targeted advertising;
- allow advertisers to target users based on wearable wellness information; or
- intentionally provide another family access to your information without authorization.
- Data Security
Nyano uses reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
These safeguards may include encryption, access controls, authentication, logging, and other security practices appropriate to the nature of the information being processed.
However, no electronic storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.
- Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Nyano, maintain your account, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information.
Where supported and legally permissible, users may request deletion of their accounts and associated personal information.
- Your Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information.
You may also control many Nyano permissions directly.
For example, you may be able to:
- disconnect Apple Health or Health Connect;
- change wearable permissions;
- modify family sharing;
- stop certain wellness sharing;
- update account information;
- opt out of SMS by replying STOP;
- modify communication preferences; or
- request account deletion.
Revoking a permission prevents future access covered by that permission but may not automatically delete information previously provided to Nyano where retention is permitted or required.
- Children
Nyano is designed primarily for adults and families.
Nyano is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate authorization where required by law.
If we learn that information has been collected in violation of applicable children’s privacy laws, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
- Medical Disclaimer
Nyano is a general wellness and family connection service.
Nyano is not a medical provider, medical monitoring service, emergency response service, or substitute for professional medical care.
Information provided through Nyano, including wearable information, nutritional estimates, medication check-ins, wellness summaries, and AI-generated responses, should not be used to diagnose or treat a medical condition.
In an emergency, contact appropriate emergency services.
- International Users
Nyano may be used by families located in different countries.
Information may therefore be processed in countries other than the country where the user resides, including the United States.
Where required, Nyano will take appropriate measures concerning international transfers of personal information.
- Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Nyano evolves or as legal requirements change.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above.
If changes materially affect how we use personal information, we may provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
